Thérèse Bachand is the author of luce a cavallo, the winner of a GertrudeStein Award from Green Integer Books. Daughter of the Ephemeral Word isforthcoming from i.e press in 2010. Her work has been anthologized in ThePIP Anthology of World Poetry #5 – Intersections: Innovative Poetry inSouthern California, and published in many journals, including area sneaks,Beyond Baroque, Brooklyn Rail, chain, el pobre mouse, minor american, Mirage#4 Period(ical), Primary Writing,and Tinfish. She works in early childhoodeducation at the UCLA Lab School, located on the UCLA campus.

Magus Magnus' book Verb Sap came out from Narrow House of Baltimore inFall 2008. He is currently working on two projects: The Re-echoes, abook-length streaming poem, and Imposter!: instances, regrets, a hybrid workof poetry, prose-poems, and poetic prose, each of which-in different ways-represents a formal and thematic offshoot from Verb Sap. M. lives and writesin Alexandria, Virginia.

Fiction writer Joe Ashby Porter's books are the novels Eelgrass, ResidentAliens, and The Near Future, and the collections The Kentucky Stories,Lithuania: Short Stories, Touch Wood: Short Stories, and All Aboard:Stories. His awards include two NEA Creative Writing Fellowships, and anAcademy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Literaturewith the commendation, “No writer of his gifted generation has shown greaterdaring, or has earned higher praise.”
